As South Africa celebrates Youth Day, I find myself reflecting on what it truly means to be young and part of a tech-driven future. At ETS Innovations, I have come to see firsthand how youth aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow; they’re shaping innovation right now.
Working at ETS Innovations as a designer has taught me that innovation isn’t just about tech, it’s about people. The energy and creativity that young minds bring into this space is nothing short of transformative. From reimagining user experiences to contributing fresh perspectives on digital solutions, we are helping craft technology that is not only functional but also human-centred, inclusive, and impactful.
Youth are not afraid to challenge norms, experiment with new ideas, or speak up. That is what makes us powerful in environments like ETS Innovations, where innovation is a mindset, not a job title.
ETS does not just hire youth; it invests in us. Through mentorship, collaborative projects, and opportunities to lead and grow, the company creates space for young professionals to thrive. I’ve been allowed to work across departments, build on my design skills, and truly see the value of my voice and vision in a corporate setting.
There is a sense of empowerment here that says: “You matter. Your ideas matter.” And that’s the kind of culture that breeds meaningful change.
Our generation is tech-native; we speak the language of digital, social, and global. We know the power of design, data, and disruption. And more than that, we care deeply about impact socially, environmentally, and economically.
By creating a space where youth can learn, contribute, and lead, companies like ETS Innovations are not only shaping a smarter tech industry, but they’re also building a better future.
To every young person with a dream, a concept, or a voice that feels too small: you belong here. You belong in boardrooms, design studios, tech labs, and strategy sessions. The future is being built right now, and we are the architects.
This Youth Day, I celebrate not only the spirit of youth but also the power of young professionals making waves in spaces that once felt out of reach.
